Philosophy

The purpose of Community Presbyterian Church Preschool & Kindergarten is to provide opportunities where children can work, play, and develop cognitively, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Play is the business of childhood.  By doing and playing, children learn about their world.  Using developmentally appropriate curriculum, we create an environment where children are encouraged to learn in a hands-on way.

Our program provides a well-rounded curriculum in art, music, literature, science, dramatic play, motor development, and outdoor activities.  We stress the importance of exciting, stimulating environments, both inside and outside, where children may safely investigate and explore the world around them.

We want each child to know that he or she is a precious gift from God, unique, special, and loved.  We celebrate our love for God through daily grace and prayers before snack, Bible stories and songs, and weekly chapel.

The greatest gift we can nurture in a child is a positive self image and the love and excitement of learning.
